"More than 6 years has passed between really close friends. The time was painfull for both of them but it taught them what it is to miss someone. One fought his way up with wounds, being many times near death which shaped his ways to be more brutal yet able to be gentle.. for his true friend. Other went for a long peaceful journey to find his inner self in the middle of the chaos. A heavy weight was lifted from his heart when he finally realized it.. They belong together. All waiting was finally over when they both met again, making them even closer friends..."
Ooooh yes. *grin* my chara (the long haired) and ~kiwii's chara from FFXI Yesh.. little Black mage (currently 59) all blushing and maybe shaking a little bit on top of a calm Paladin (75) who waits... ;D
HAHA HEAR ME ROAR!!! They're both men if that isn't clear already.

I don't know how to properly critizise. I'll get eaten because of this. /ok
Critizising is art in itself and writing it correctly tells people you're good at it!
Anyhow - this is a very nice, clean piece. While people think I'm a badass who doesn't hates lineart, I actually appreciate it quite much even though I like to keep my drawings messy and sketchy.
Well, the "incorrect" things I see at first glance are paladin's left glove and shoulder, the shadows that are there but seems to be also "wandering" and the fabric that doesn't show much.
The pretty things I see must be paladin's eyes, the soft but yet strong lines that is the main thing that creates the athmosphere in this picture, very nice anatomically correct fingers aaaand now that I stare at it, I love that paladin. He's sexy. uhm, anyways -
I think you should draw more different builded males - younger, midgets, very old, ugly, skinny, chubby, extremely muscular, etc. So far most of your charas seems to have the same build, which looks good, but they lack somewhat an unique bodytype. Like if you changed paladin's and dark mage's faces, the one under would look shy and the one up would look very, sexy, hot, dominative, extremely drool-worthy male that I would love to-
*cough.*
errrm, yes, as I was saying. I think a small practise, like 2-3 pages of 'em might be good for you.
Well, the picture looks otherwise balanced, but I'm a little worried about the dark mage's hand. It seems to be floating above the bed. Maybe few wrinkles behind it would do the trick.
Overall those don't bother me much and I love the athmosphere. and the hot guy. /ok
*streches her hands.* I love critting. <3 Sorry for the lenght of it.
^^ That is very sweet looking, i love the work you did on the hair and faces, especially the long hair on the one willingly being pinned.
Heh, though he looks like he could easily have pinned the other ^^

Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
How to make DA work for YOU! Taking an in-depth look at how to make deviantART work for you, and getting the most out of your user experience. How to get comments, watches, your work scene, commented on, critiqued, and what you have to do. These are some of the things which I have learned since joining more than 4 1/2 years ago.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
