Like... So much feels!!! 
And okay, if you have not read MTMTE comic up to issue 55, you'll get spoiled if you continue reading. You've been warned!

The whole background story with Megatron and Terminus is just... whoah. All the way from his miner past, writing the book, guiding his actions and being 'the way' for him. Only to go through a four million year civil war that didn't seem to end until Megatron started to realize that what he had done probably was not the best thing that happened in the history of Cybertron.
F.I.N.A.L.L.Y!!!
From there on it has been a constant struggle for Megs. Trying to change his way of thinking, trying to change his old habits, seeing the Autobot way more and more as what he actually wanted everything to be. Then, after so much stuff he was actually happy! Until the DJD came after him. At that point Megatron wanted to get rid of the ultimate Decepticon group. A group that... heck, crossed the line, bad! The last issues of season two were so much of an emotional rollercoaster, for everyone who read it I could bet. People died on all sides, people came back from 'the dead' and what not, and among those... One of the biggest turning points for Megatron, was Ravage.
Ravage was such a close bot to Megatron. He was the listener for Megs. The little helper. He had always been there with him, and when he finally said "don't change back" we knew Ravage had seen the good in everything, the good in him. Yet it made him lose his life for Megatron to realize how things were. But it wasn't for the better until Terminus stepped back into the picture. Megatron was at his breaking point all fully ready to spiral down to the Decepticon hell and give up on all the good he had achieved, and then the old miner bot came. It was like... I don't know really, a very intense moment to see Megs drop the broken fusion cannon in a split of a second and give Terminus a big crunchy hug, admitting his error to his mentor.
All in all, from Dark Cybertron to MTMTE 55... I started it by hating Megatron. After reading all those issues... I ended up liking him a lot. It doesn't sound right when you think about all the millions he and his actions got killed, and it was even stated in the comic that it's difficult to comprehend the amount of people who got killed. It truly is. I can't grasp it. If I could, I'd be more or less on the same boat as Getaway and the rest.
Then again, I've seen most TF series and read comics and I was so tired of Megatron being the ultimate baddie Con that never would see the errors of his ways, until now. And I freaking love it.
