Yea yeaah. I didn't take it easy with kids (this part I can't really do anything about) and building couch pillow fortresses so BAM, it hurts again... ò_____ó So no commissions and if I manage to do art somehow... Hurray!
On a sitenote, I made a chat room! chat.deviantart.com/chat/Macca… so I might idle there, depending how long it stays alive!

How I study with refs!
This just randomly popped into my head while watching stock photos of poses on my watch feed. It made me wonder about a few things, like characters in motion. That's one thing that can make or break a picture by looking stiff and 'fake'. (and no amount of speed lines or blur effect is going to save it. About.) My point is: outside of static poses for characters whom are actually not moving, it's better to find video references where people (humans) are actually doing the thing for real: walking, running, jumping ect. (NO NEED TO WATCH THESE I JUST SLAPPED THEM HERE AS EXAMPLES!) Want to draw people having a sword fight? Find videos of fencing tournaments for example. Or any other competitive match like with different martial arts that uses weapons. I have studied archery this way for art piece. I found several good tutorial videos about how to hold the bow, how to shoot it, how to HURT yourself when doing it wrong. Same with medieval great swords, nunchakus, sticks fighting
The RP: How to
I know this comes behind the corner but I've been in a writing mood for months now and thought about "hey, I do these artistic tips every here and then, so why not this too?" and here I am. What is RP? The letters come from "roleplay" and it can mean many things depending who you ask. This will be my version. A bit of background first; I was dragged into the world of roleplaying by story telling when I was in gymnasium. My new friends did it and were all "hey did you know?" -style and I got hooked. I have some old files saved from those days and I can tell you one thing... I SUCKED SO BAD OMG. My sentences weren't even proper Finnish (my mother tongue) and lacked proper punctuation and what all. But apparently I was understood so that's what counted. My swap to English happened here in DeviantArt chat rooms (don't exist anymore!) purely thanks to falling into Transformers fandom. The very first canon character I RPed was TFP Starscream and there were three of us writing the story.
Random note #6: character poses
I haven't done these in a while, but here I am! The random notes are all about me talking about art stuff. So feel free to ask if you think I should write about a certain topic/subject! :D Anyway, today I felt like babbling about poses, because I saw a few pieces of art on Twitter and went "ding!" in my head. First thing first; if your art focuses on character/s, the pose is what makes or breaks the picture. It's as simple as that, in theory. It doesn't need to be more than a single arm being 'just somewhere' because the artist couldn't figure out what to do with it. You think it's not noticeable, but it's quite the opposite. The random limb doing whatever it wants just because the character needs it sticks out like a neon sign from the work. The image I saw had, was it five, characters in it. Everyone was decently positioned and had their purpose in the picture, except one leg. The character was looking like they were standing, but instead of the artist wanting the leg
a missed anniversary
Okay, so, I missed my DA anniversary, probably the date 12th March, because that rang a bell but I didn't remember why! DeviantArt Eclipse took the exact date away. Why? No fucking clue. Now I went to search it from feedback section and found this: https://www.deviantartsupport.com/en/article/display-full-joined-deviantart-date and we users apparently have to VOTE for the feature to be put back. In their words it's a new features... el, oh, el... :stare: GO VOTE FOR IT! :XD:
